Meet Aiden

Hi there my name is Aiden,

Before coming to the Community House, I was living in an unsafe and unstable family environment where I experienced ongoing emotional and mental abuse. I was isolated, lacked basic support, and struggled to meet my basic needs. The constant stress and anxiety made it difficult to eat, sleep, or take care of myself, and I began to feel hopeless.

After a conflict with my family escalated, I no longer felt safe and was taken to a crisis center. Shortly after, I became homeless. During that time, my mental health declined significantly, and I reached a breaking point. Eventually, I learned about the Community House and was brought here.

Since arriving, my life has completely changed. I’ve opened a bank account, started saving money, continued therapy, enrolled in college, and secured a job working with individuals with neurological and developmental disabilities. My anxiety has improved, and I’m learning how to build stability and independence.

My goals are to maintain employment, secure stable housing, and continue growing both personally and professionally. I hope to one day become a mental health therapist and help others who have faced challenges similar to mine. I am deeply grateful for the Community House and the support system here—it has given me hope, stability, and a sense of family I never had before.

-Aiden
